In addition to that, Google research has found that people usually buy something from a business they searched for and found online — often within a day or less.

 

A major factor in determining if your business will be found locally, is how well ‘your’ local maps and Google business page are optimized for the search engines.

Most business aren’t aware that Google has already created a business page with a map for them.

Maps SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is much different than SEO for a website. A whole different group of search aggregate firms are needed to improve your Google business page’s ‘local ranking’.

Since every business has there own local business page, you have to do more than the next guy to be found in local search.

 

Your business needs to found on the front page of search results. The best listing will be in the local Maps business listings.

Google even made that harder by reducing the Maps listings to 3 showing, instead of 7.
